Mickelson, D.M., Clayton, Lee, Baker, R.W., Mode, W.N., and Schneider, A.F., 1984, Pleistocene stratigraphic units of Wisconsin: Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey Miscellaneous Paper, no. 84-1, 15 p.

Summary:

Pg. 4 (table 1); App., p. A10-15 to A10-16. Glenmore Member of Kewaunee Formation. Follows the informal usage of D.M. Mickelson (McCartney and Mickelson, 1982, GSA Bull., v. 93, p. 297-302). Consists of dull-reddish-brown sand, silt, and clay. Thickness 6 m at type section. Abruptly overlies Chilton Member (new) of the Kewaunee (new); underlies younger unnamed organic sediment or lacustrine silt and clay or lies at the surface. Occurs on east side of Green Bay Lobe in Wisconsin. Contact with equivalent Middle Inlet Member (new) of the Kewaunee, on west side of Green Bay Lobe, is an arbitrarily drawn vertical cutoff at the Fox River. Is also equivalent to Two Rivers Member of the Kewaunee in the Lake Michigan Lobe. Age is Pleistocene (late Wisconsinan).
Type section (=type section of Chilton Member of Kewaunee Formation): DePere Site, north-facing exposure in gravel pit about 100 m northwest of large radio tower, north of County Trunk Highway X, near top of Silurian escarpment, in southeast corner of sec. 38, T. 23 N., R. 20 E., [approx. Lat. 44 deg. 24 min. 35 sec. N., Long. 88 deg. 00 min. 12 sec. W.], eastern edge DePere 7.5-min quadrangle, Brown Co., eastern WI. Named from Glenmore Twp.; name credited to David M. Mickelson.
Reference sections:
(1) Highway W site, [a few mi northeast of Forest Junction], on south side of unnamed creek, 60 m east of County Trunk Highway W, in NW/4 NE/4 sec. 3, T. 20 N., R. 20 E., [approx. Lat. 44 deg. 14 min. 16 sec. N., Long. 88 deg. 05 min. 33 sec. W.], Brillion 7.5-min quadrangle, Calumet Co., eastern WI;
(2) low roadcut on south side of School Road, in NE/4 NE/4 NE/4 sec. 32, T. 22 N., R. 21 E., [approx. Lat. 44 deg. 20 min. 32 sec. N., Long. 87 deg. 58 min. 09 sec. W.], Morrison 7.5-min quadrangle, Brown Co., eastern WI.
