Summary:

Following the informal usage of McCartney (1979), the Middle Inlet Member of the Kewaunee Formation is here named on the west side of the Green Bay Lobe in WI. It consists of reddish-brown sand-silt-clay till. Unconformably overlies the Kirby Lake Member of the Kewaunee; exposed at the surface in much of Marinette County. Contact with the equivalent Glenmore Member of the Kewaunee on the east side of the Green Bay Lobe is an arbitrary vertical contact at the Fox River. Thickness is 4.5 m at type section. Age is Pleistocene (late Wisconsinan).
