Recognized locally in Southwestern district.
Early Pennsylvanian (Bashkirian; Westphalian; Morrowan)*
Type section (tongue): between 0.25 and 0.5 mi east of Marsh Creek along the east-trending road that runs past New Liberty Church, Hollyhill quadrangle, southeastern KY (Loney, 1967).
