Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type locality: ravines on west side of creek, 2.5 mi east of south side of Wymore, southern Gage Co., southeastern NE, in E/2 sec. 27, T. 2 N., R. 4 E., about 0.25 mi north of where highway crosses Burlington and Union Pacific RRs. Named from town of Wymore (Condra and Upp, 1931).
