Type locality: [exposures in bluff along Ohio River just east of village of West Franklin, approx. Lat. 37 deg. 53 min. 45 sec. N., Long. 87 deg. 42 min. 24 sec. W.], in SE/4 sec. 24, T. 7 S., R. 12 W., [West Franklin 7.5-min quadrangle], Posey Co., southwestern IN (see Rexroad and others, 2008; Brown and Rexroad, 2009).
