Type locality: Warren Point [local name] where this sandstone forms a prominent bluff 65 ft thick, located 0.5 mi north of Monteagle, [Sewanee quadrangle (scale 1:125,000)], Grundy Co., southeastern TN (Nelson, 1925; Wilson and others, 1956).
