Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section: 14 km north of Wah Wah Summit along the west foothills of the Wah Wah Mountains, in NE/4 sec. 23, T. 25 S., R. 16 W., Grassy Cove 7.5-min quadrangle, either in Millard[?] or Juab[?] Co., UT. Named after highway pass in middle of Wah Wah Mountains (Hintze and Robison, 1975).
[Discrepancy in GNU records (USGS DDS-6) concerning whether type section occurs in Millard or Juab Co. --unresolved.]
