Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

On road leading to top of Cross Mountain, Lake City quadrangle, Anderson Co., eastern TN. Exposed near Tub Springs at top of Frozen Head Mountain above Petros, Fork Mountain quadrangle (Wilson and others, 1956).
