Type section: exposures along Trout Brook, between the bridge over Trout Brook 2000 ft downstream from junction with South Branch Ponds, in T. 6, R. 9, and exposure of quartz andesite sill at sharp bend in Trout Brook, in T. 5, R. 10, Traveler Mountain quadrangle, north-central ME (Dorf and Rankin, 1962).
