Type section (composite): (1) west bank of Cold Stream, 200 m upstream from its confluence with Kennebec River; and (2) section along Moxie Stream from Moxie Falls to northeastward turn 450 m upstream, The Forks 7.5-min quadrangle, Somerset Co., ME. Named from village of The Forks (Marvinney, 1984).
