Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 5,158 to 6,014 ft, Gulf Oil Company No. 1 Government Teckla well, in SE/4 SE/4 sec. 10, T. 41 N., R. 70 W., Campbell Co., WY. Named from Teckla Post Office in southwest Campbell Co., WY (Runge and others, 1973).
