Alva Clay Member (Puri and Vernon, 1964). Bayshore Clay, Murdock Station, Buckingham Limestone, Pinecrest Sand, and Ochopee Limestone Members of Tamiami Formation (Hunter, 1968); Murdock Station and Sarasota Formations of Tamiami Group (DuBar, 1991; in press); Pinecrest Beds (FL*) (Willard and others, 1993); Lehigh Acres Member (Peck and others, 1979).

late Tertiary (Pliocene; Zanclean to Piacenzian)*


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Named from exposures along Tamiami Trail, Collier and Monroe Cos., southern FL (Mansfield, 1939).
