(alphabetical): Dover Limestone Member (IA*,KS*,MO*,NE*) or Dover Limestone Bed (OK*), Dry Shale Member (IA*,KS*,MO*,NE*,OK*), Grandhaven Limestone Member (IA*,KS*,NE*,OK*).


Geologic age:

Late Pennsylvanian (Virgilian)*


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type section: in spillway and along south side of pond in SE/4 sec. 18, T. 16 S., R. 12 E., Lyon Co., about 2 mi west of Miller, east-central KS. Named from old Stotler Post Office which was in SW/4 sec. 10, T. 16 S., R. 13 E., east-central KS (Moore and Mudge, 1956).
