Type section [composite]: along WY Highway 130, from sec. 14, T. 16 N., R. 79 W., to sec. 23, T. 16 N., R. 80 W., where rocks between the French and Medicine Peak are exposed; continues into secs. 14, 15, and 16, T. 16 N., R. 80 W., where the rest of the formations are exposed, Carbon Co., WY. Named from Snowy Range Pass, in T. 16 N., R. 79 W., Medicine Bow Mountains, Albany Co., WY (Houston and others, 1992).
