Type section: Shale Wall Bluff on west bank of Nanushuk River, between sec. 2, T. 5 S., R. 5 E. and sec. 35, T. 4 S., R. 5 E., at Camp W-June 25-47, about 35 mi southeast of Umiat, [approx. Lat. 69 deg. 03 min. N., Long. 150 deg. 53 min. W.], Chandler River region, northern AK (Detterman and others, 1963; Mull and others, 2003).
