Type section: exposure in Seaboard Coast Line RR cut in the eastern valley wall of the Little Satilla River, approx. 2.5 mi (4 km) southwest of the village of Screven, southwestern Wayne Co., GA (Huddlestun, 1988).
Reference locality: Upper Sister Bluff, Appling Co., GA.
