Type locality: Missouri River bluff several hundred ft above Champ Clark Bridge, the same as the type locality for the Grassy Creek (in approx. SW/4 NW/4 SE/4 sec. 18, T. 54 N., R. 1 W.), Pike Co., MO (Mehl, 1960).
