Type section: from east side of Moore Creek Canyon (in SE/4 sec. 15, T. 11 S., R. 2 W.), southward 2.4 km to coast at Natural Bridges, and eastward 1.6 km along sea cliffs (in S/2 sec. 23, T. 11 S., R. 2 W.), Santa Cruz quadrangle, CA (Clark, 1981).
