Named for typical development along Rector Creek, a small tributary to North Fork of Cottonwood Creek at Ono, Shasta Co., CA (Murphy, 1956).
Reference section [Rector Conglomerate Member]: in bed of Rector Creek, just south of Ono [in sec. 2, T. 30 N., R. 7 W., Ono 15-min quadrangle] Shasta Co., CA (Murphy and others, 1964).
