Middle Mississippian (Visean; early Chesterian)*


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposures on northeastern slope of Pride Mountain, located about 2 mi east of Pride, Colbert Co., AL, and 0.5 mi south of U.S. Highway 72, in SE/4 sec. 15, T. 4 S., R. 12 W. (Welch, 1958).
