Series of roadcuts along the Newton-Decatur highway (State Highway 15) on south side of valley wall of creek about 2 mi northeast of town of Newton, in NE/4 sec. 26 and SE/4 SE/4 sec. 23, T. 6 N., R. 11 E., Newton Co., eastern MS. Named from outcrop near Potterchitto Creek (Thomas, 1942).
