Type section: Meshberger Bros. Stone Corp. quarry, 3 mi south of Pleasant Mills, in center sec. 4, T. 26 N., R. 15 E., Adams Co., IN (Droste and Shaver, 1982).
Reference sections (outcrop and subsurface): (1) exposed in Linn Grove quarry, Adams Co.; and (2) Indiana Geological Survey drillhole 72, in abandoned Markland Ave. quarry, Kokomo, Howard Co., IN (Droste and Shaver, 1982).
