Not designated. Name from Ojo Alamo trading post in Chaco Canyon, about 95 mi northwest of Gallup and 25 mi west of the Bonito Indian Pueblo, San Juan Co., NM (Brown, 1910).
Type section of restricted Ojo Alamo measured in sec. 6, T. 24 N., R. 11 W., San Juan Co., NM (Baltz and others, 1966).
Type locality: Ojo Alamo Wash, T. 24 N., R. 11 and 12 W., San Juan Co., NM (Fassett, 1985).
Reference section designated and measured in sec. 9, T. 24 N., R. 11 W., San Juan Co., NM (Baltz and others, 1966).
