Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Exposures on the south shore of Seboomook Lake, southeasterly to Seboomook Dam and intermittently along the West Branch Penobscot River to the vicinity of the "Old Roll Dam," Seboomook Lake and Northeast Carry quadrangles, Somerset Co., ME (Pollock, 1987).
