Reference section: south wall, Blue Circle Industries quarry, 3.0 mi west of Calera, in SE/4 SW/4 sec. 24, T. 22 S., R. 3 W., Montevallo quadrangle, Shelby Co., AL (Shaw, 1987, Emory Univ. MS thesis. See Raymond (1993) entry).
