Type locality not stated. Named from occurrence in vicinity of Morton, Renville Co., southwestern MN. Extends from near New Ulm, Brown Co., to a point south of Sacred Heart, Renville Co., a distance of about 50 mi (Thiel and Dutton, 1935).
