Type section: Basal 1910 ft of OH Division Geological Survey (DGS) well 2627, American Aggregates Corp. quarry, approximately 1 mi northeast of town of Lytle, NE/4 sec. 14, T. 3, R. 5, Wayne Twp., Warren Co., southwestern OH. Named from stream which heads near quarry (Shrake and others, 1990).
