Type section: large unnamed bluff overlooking the Flint River Valley on the eastern side of the Flint River, 3.2 mi west-northwest of Marshallville and 0.9 mi northwest of Bryants Swamp Creek, Macon Co., GA (Huddlestun and Hetrick, 1991).


AAPG geologic province:

South Georgia sedimentary province
