Recognized in southwestern part of Ciales quadrangle.

Late Cretaceous (Campanian to Maastrichtian?)*


Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Named from exposures along Rio Toro Negro east and west of the mouth of Quebrada Manicaboa. Restricted mainly to southwest quarter of Ciales quadrangle, north-central Puerto Rico (Berryhill, 1965).
