Type section: west side Blacktail Mountain, in sec. 34, T. 17 N., R. 27 W., and sec. 4, T. 16 N., R. 27 W. for lower 2,750 ft; and in sec. 18, T. 16 N., R. 26 W., for upper 300 ft, Mineral Co., MT (Campbell, 1960).
