Type section: Harlem southeast section, quarry 1.6 km southeast of Harlem, in center SE/4 sec. 33, T. 45 N., R. 2 E., [approx. Lat. 42 deg. 19 min. 54 sec. N., Long. 89 deg. 00 min. 18 sec. W., Rockford North 7.5-min quadrangle], Winnebago Co., northern IL (Willman and Kolata, 1978).
Named from town of Loves Park, [Rockford North 7.5-min quadrangle], Winnebago Co., northern IL, 1.6 km southwest of type section (Willman and Kolata, 1978).
