Summary:

Pg. 50-51. Loves Park Member of Dunleith Formation. Present in Illinois. Includes Calmar, Conover, Nasset, and Haldane Bentonite Beds (all new). Consists mostly of dolomite, cherty dolomite, bentonite. Thickness 15 m at type section. Overlies Fairplay Member; underlies Wyota Member. Equivalent of Mortimer, Rivoli, Sherwood, and Wall Members of Dunleith Formation in area east and south of Freeport, Illinois, where those members cannot be divided. [See entries under Calmar, Conover, Nasset, and Haldane.]
Type section: Harlem Southeast Section, quarry 1.6 km southeast of Harlem, in center SE/4 sec. 33, T. 45 N., R. 2 E., Winnebago Co., IL. Named from town of Loves Park, 1.6 km southwest of type section.
