Type section (= basal part of Copper Basin Group type section): 150 m up flank of ridge above Little Copper Creek (tributary of Copper Creek, which joins Muldoon Creek at Muldoon), in SW/4 NE/4 SE/4 sec. 22 and continues N. 45 deg. E. to center NE/4 NW/4 sec. 23, T. 4 N., R. 21 E., Pioneer Mountains, Blaine Co., ID (Paull and Gruber, 1977).
