Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 126 to 196 ft, Georgia Geologic Survey Chatham 11 core (GGS-1393), taken on U.S. Highway 80, approx. 1 mi southeast of the bridge over Lazaretto Creek on Tybee Island, Chatham Co., GA (Huddlestun, 1993).
Lazaretto Creek (restricted) depth-interval 139 to 196 ft (see Weems and Edwards, 2001, Georgia Geol. Survey Bull., no. 131, p. 7).

South Georgia sedimentary province
