Type section: quarry (Puerto Rico Meter Grid System 189,120 E.; 53,710 N. to 188,970 E.; 53,690 N.), just north of Highway 1 and east of the type section of the Tortugas Andesite, near La Muda, San Juan area, San Juan quadrangle, northeastern Puerto Rico (Pease, 1968).
