Type section: lower part in sec. 30, T. 1 S., R. 3 W.; upper part in center SE/4 sec. 27, T. 1 S., R. 3 W., southeast to center west side NE/4 sec. 35, T. 1 S., R. 3 W., Oquirrh Mountains, Salt Lake Co., UT. Named from prominent north-flowing stream at north end of Oquirrh Mountains (Tooker and Roberts, 1970).
