Type section: exposures on middle to upper south slope of Kathul Mountain, north of Yukon River, from 1.5 to 0.8 km southeast of benchmark 3122 (Kat), in [sec. 18], T. 6 N., R. 27 E., Charley River B-3 quadrangle (scale 1:63,360), AK (Brabb, 1969).
