Ibex section K, in central part of west face of Fossil Mountain located just west of corner secs. 19 and 30, T. 22 S., R. 14 W., Millard Co., UT. Named from exposures near village of Kanosh [Kanosh 7.5-min quadrangle, Juab Co., UT] (Hintze, 1951).
