Type section: north side of small tributary canyon on west side of Smoky Hollow, in NW/4 sec. 32 and N/2 NE/4 sec. 31, T. 41 S., R. 4 E., Kane Co., UT. Named from John Henry Canyon tributary to Warm Creek, about 3 mi west of section (Peterson, 1969).
