Type section: cutbank exposure along south side of small tributary of Strangers Branch, 5 mi northeast of Jessup, in center SE/4 sec. 2, T. 14 N., R. 7 W., Catlin quadrangle, Parke Co., west-central IN (Wayne, 1963).
Reference sections also designated (Wayne, 1963).
