Type areas: andesite exposure at head of Tybo Canyon, in NE/4 T. 6 N., R. 49 E.; sedimentary exposure at 4 km east of ignimbrite plug no. 2 on both sides of unnamed valley, in NW/4 T. 7 N., R. 49 E.; lower and upper ignimbrite informal [units] at 1.6 km east of Italian Springs, in NE/4 T. 6 N., R. 49 E., Nye Co., NV (Cook, 1968).
