[Type locality:] Stroud Claim near Hagerman, 400 ft north and 1200 ft west of southeast corner of sec. 34, T. 3 S., R. 13 E., Davis Mountain 15-min quadrangle, Gooding Co., southwestern ID. Origin of name not stated by authors, but probably named from Hole-in-the-Wall Cabin, Gooding Co., southwestern ID (Evernden and others, 1964).
