Type section, locality, area and/or origin of name:

Type area: exposures 2 km southwest of Guild Placer Mine, Singatse Range, in sec. 28, T. 13 N., R. 25 E., Lyon Co., NV (Ekren and others, 1980).
Reference sections: (1) 1.6 km north of Todd Mountain, north of NV HIghway 23, on southeast flank of Gabbs Range; (2) northeast-trending fault block in southern Gillis Range about 3.2 km northwest of Kincaid Gold Mill and 3.2 km north of U.S. HIghway 95 (Ekren and others, 1980).
