Type section: sand pit of the Atlanta Sand and Supply Company at Gaillard, a community in Crawford Co., GA (Huddlestun and Hetrick, 1991).
Reference section: railroad cut of Central of Georgia RR in western valley wall of Ocmulgee River on south side of Macon in Bibb Co., GA, 0.25 mi northeast of the Mead Road overpass (Huddlestun and Hetrick, 1991).

South Georgia sedimentary province
