Type section (composite): characteristic exposures along secondary roads south and southwest of the community of Frolona, and along Hillabahatchee Creek northeast of Frolona, Frolona 7.5-min quadrangle, Heard County, GA. Named from community of Frolona, Heard Co., GA (Crawford and Medlin, 1974; Higgins and others, 1988).
