Type section (subsurface): depth-interval 256 ft to 278 ft, Savannah River site well MWD-3A, northwestern Barnwell Co., SC, near the Aiken Co. line, southeast of Tinker Creek and west of Mill Creek. [UTM] 75,756 E., 69,839 N., or approx. Lat. 33 deg. 18 min. 09 sec. N., Long. 81 deg. 36 min. 23 sec. W. Named from Fourmile Branch where wells penetrate the unit (Fallaw and Price, 1992; 1995).
