Notable exposures in north-central portion of Newport Neck, mainly within confines of Fort Adams State Park and along south shore of Newport Harbor. (Bailey and others, 1989; Rast and Skehan, 1981a, NEIGC 73rd Ann. Mtg., Trip B-2, p. 69; Rast and Skehan, 1981b, Geology, v. 9, no. 12, p. 597).
