N., Long. 89 deg. 29 min. 28 sec. W., western edge Washington 7.5-min quadrangle], Tazewell Co., western IL. Named from town of Farmdale, Tazewell Co., western IL, [about 1.5+/- mi southwest of type section] (Leighton and Willman, 1950).
