Type section: 1.3 km north of Eye of Needle Natural Bridge, in NW/4 sec. 25, T. 26 S., R. 16 W., Wah Wah Summit 15-min quadrangle, either in Beaver[?] or in Millard[?] Co., UT. Named from Needle Natural Bridge (Hintze and Robison, 1975).
[Discrepancy in GNU records (USGS DDS-6) concerning whether type section occurs in Beaver or Millard Co. --unresolved.]
