Named from Everona, Orange Co., VA, where the limestone is exposed in a small quarry north of Mountain Run. Also exposed from Mitchells Ford, on Rapidan River, to southwest of Rivanna River near Charlottesville, Albemarle Co., VA (Jonas, 1927).
